Gospel Guitar - Strumming Style 3

UP STROKE - 3/4 BEAT

1.This strum, uses an "up" stroke which is denoted by an up arrow.
2.This stroke is a light flick towards you using a pick. If you are using your fingers you might like to try brushing up with the pad of your index finger or the back of the thumbnail.
3.Dont try to catch all the bass strings.
4.Main thing is timing. If we take the 4/4 down stroke beat,
for example:
Second allocated 1 1 1 1
Count the beats 1 2 3 4
Strokes style down down down down

So the each down stroke takes an equal time may be 1 second in this example(depending on how fast you are strumming).
Now look this 'new strumming' method, one stroke down and then one stroke up and down. Try to understand the timing here:

for example:
Second allocated 1 1 1
Count the beats 1 2 3
Stoke style down down&up down&up

Within that allocated 'one second' (in this example) you have to play a 'up and a down stroke'. This beat also called ONE TWO& THREE& (&=to a up stroke)

You may try following song with this strumming style.
